《钢铁雄心4》是策略神作《钢铁雄心》系列续作，新作的AI将会更加强大，使用了用处更广的新货币。选择一个好的领导人和政府对国家的发展是至关重要的，玩家还可以选择公司来帮助提升装备和物资的生产。
在《Hearts of Iron IV: By Blood Alone》中打造新帝国、抵御外国进犯或探索中立的极限。这是 Paradox Interactive 以二战为主题的大型战略战争游戏的全新扩展包，为三个国家添加了新的架空历史选项与玩法多样性，还有其他重大更改。
《Hearts of Iron IV: By Blood Alone》的特色包括：

• 禁运互动选项：利用全新的外交互动方式对敌人实行禁运，这能在敌人制造过多国际紧张情势时，阻止敌人与您进行贸易。
